Even as we blog this post, Mumbai’s well-heeled are airing out their vintage Taruns, speed-dialing their cosmetic surgeons and going on a liquid diet – all in an effort to look haute and hot at Tarun Tahiliani’s off-site Lakmé Fashion Week show on March 21st at Tote in Mumbai.
The show marks the start of Lakme Fashion Week and Tarun will be presenting his latest Spring Summer 2013 collection. Here are a few key pieces from the collection you will get to see on the ramp:
More than thirty pieces from the collection, comprising of easy ready to wear and occasion wear will be showcased at the off-site event and will feature trademark techniques like traditional embroideries and revolutionised digital prints that are characteristic of the Tarun Tahiliani design sensibility.
Says the designer in a media note, “The India Modern separates dominating this collection take a fresh look at the needs of the contemporary Indian woman for comfort and luxury. The collection is replete with renewed youthful simplicity so as to help her transition from day wear to lounge-wear effortlessly.”
