Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year was undoubtedly one of the most successful films of 2012 and grossed almost Seventy Crores at the box office. That’s reason enough for the maverick director to contemplate a sequel and we hear he’s already penciled in Anil Kapoor’s nephew, Mohit Marwah, for one of the lead roles.
According to the gossips, KJo plans to launch a number of newcomers through the SOTY sequels after the likes of Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra received such good response in the first film.
As for why Karan has already set his sights on Mohit Marwah? We hear he was quite impressed with his acting prowess in Shakun Batra’s short-film, Strangers In The Night. And obviously we agree 🙂
