Three gutsy ladies – Sunita Chaudhary, Carina Deegan & Laura Turkington – decided to celebrate Women’s Day this year by traversing the breath of our country from Delhi to Mumbai, a total of Fifteen Hundred Kilometers, in nothing more than a little red rickshaw.

Called the Red Rickshaw Revolution, the three spirited ladies set off from Delhi on March 9th 2013 to celebrate the extraordinary achievements of ordinary women. Of course, raising funds for various NGO’s that support women’s causes is also top of their list.

Of the three women, Sunita is actually a rickshaw driver from Delhi while Laura Turkington is the director of Vodafone Foundation in India.

The trio reached Mumbai on 18th March after travelling through Alwar, Jaipur, Ajmer, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Ahmadabad, Vadodara, Surat and Daman.
