In what makes for quite the iconic cover, Vidya Balan graces the front of Cine Blitz magazine this month recreating the legendary Mother India poster from 1957. It was one of the first films to be so heavily female-centric, and it’s fitting that Vidya should be the one to recreate the poster, considering that she’s emerged as the Bollywood actress who can carry an entire film on her shoulders.
I love the cover – it’s one of my favourites from recent times, and interestingly, another recent favourite of mine also features Vidya Balan – the Filmfare January issue. She sure has been hitting it out of the park lately with her covers. What do you think – like the Cine Blitz one?
