Summer is here and that can only mean BEACH TIME! Whether you’re taking a jaunt to Goa, or to St. Tropez, here are some style rules you ought to follow to look stylish on the surf.
1) Protect Your Tresses With an Overized Hat.
Chlorine and sun rays can do a lot of damage to your hair. To help protect your locks, coat your hair with a leave-in conditioner, and cover up with a bandana or an over-sized hat.
2) Opt for a Chic Cover Up
It’s not just about the bikini, it’s also about what you wear on top of it. Put aside the over-sized faded t-shirts and tie dye sarongs – opt instead for a chiffon embroidered kurta or kaftan. I’m loving Kourtney Kardashain‘s blue kaftan with neon embroidery.
3) Totes Amaze!
A beach tote is a must… no other bad should be allowed. They’re stylish, and roomy enough to carry all the essentials – sunscreen, shades, books, beach towel, etc.
4) Accessorize!
Some people avoided wearing any jewellery while on the beach – but you can throw that rule out the window. Try an over-sized gold cuff, and earrings, to elevate your look – though you may want to leave your real stuff at home… just in case.
