Subhash Kapoor Will Wait For Sanjay Dutt to Make 'Munnabhai 3'

It was recently announced that Subhash Kapoor would direct the third installment of the widely popular Munnabhai series – but of course there’s a halt in the plans since the court has ordered Sanjay Dutt to return to jail to serve a 3-and-a-half-year sentence. In a recent interview, the director was asked what would happen to the third part of Munnabhai now that Sanju wouldn’t be around to shoot for the film. Here’s what he said!

According to TOI, Subhash said:

“The third part of Munnabhai will again see the trio of Sanjay, Arshad and Boman. I cannot imagine Munnabhai without Sanjay. If I have to wait for three more years to make the film with Sanjay, then I will do so, as I cannot watch a Munnabhai film without him.”

So I guess, there you have it – we may have to wait several more years, but the director is pretty adamant that Sanjay and only Sanjay will do the role in the film. I have to agree: he sort of is Munnabhai. What do you think?
