One of the nicest fashion shows we’ve seen in a while was the Consortium of Green Fashion Awards 2013, which was held in Mumbai this Saturday evening.

Managed by Vinit Ganjwala of Mystique, all the fabulous clothes shown on the ramp were designed by talented students from fashion schools across the country. The consortium aims to encourage sustainability and ecological concern in the field of fashion, and frequently promotes the concept of eco-friendly green fashion.

The show was judged by fashion stalwarts like Hemant Trivedi, Rahul Mishra, and Meher Castellino. The choreography was fun, with lots of peppy dance sequences, by the inimitable Achla Sachdev.

The outfits were fashioned from discarded plastic, old audio cassettes, waste material, and even paper. The sequence by Salman Khan‘s Being Human, featured clothes made from eco-friendly fabrics.
