The team of Ek Thi Daayan is pretty proud of the fact that they’re the first thriller-horror film to have received a U/A certificate from the censors, which considerably widens the audience the film will be screened to. Co-producer Vishal Bhardwaj says that the film draws inspiration from folklore, and since schools will be going on summer break, this should be an enjoyable family outing. But Ekta Kapoor is quick to add something else!
Ekta says, “While we have the added advantage of being children-friendly, the film also has all the commercial masala that the audience expects from an Emraan Hashmi film. Young couples who want to cuddle up during the spooks and scares have found their film to do so!”
