Jacqueline Fernandez spent some time at Essel World over the weekend, where she took along a few fans to launch one of their new rides called Top Spin. Looks like fun, but if the grapevine is to be believed, it seems like the actress may be embarking on another ride entirely – one that takes her right back to her roots!
Word has it that Jackie has been approached to play the lead in an English film directed by LA-based director Chandram Rutnam (who is of Sri Lankan descent). The film is also said to star Alston Koch, who is a Sri Lankan singer/songwriter and television actor. Sounds like a fairly good project, but Jackie isn’t 100% convinced yet.
While it seems she’s thrilled to be considered for the role, she’s taking her time to make up her mind since the film is apparently a controversial subject – it’s based on the true story of a priest who planned the murders of his wife and the husband of his mistress. Guess we’ll have to wait to know whether she’s fully on-board this project, but is this something you’d look forward to? I know I would!
