In a city filled with pollution and sensory overload, we all crave a little peace and tranquility. Mudraa Spa is your perfect escape. Before even walking through the doors, the scent of the oils will calm you. I had arrived burdened with the tension of daily life and I left floating on a cloud.
While Mumbai has massage and spa treatments available everywhere, it is hard to find such clean facilities without paying luxury hotel prices. I had chosen the Aroma Thai Massage with an added Herbal Hot Compress. Ashon was my masseuse, who I highly recommend. Before starting the treatment, she washed and massaged my feet. This immediately put me in a relaxed state.
She then led me to my beautiful tranquil treatment room. The room was well decorated, very clean and included a closed off shower (I have never seen this at any spa!) They provide you with disposable under garments and a soft white robe. The treatment itself was heaven.
Ashon applied the perfect amount of pressure during the massage and knew all the right spots. The Hot Compress just melted away all my tension. In the background, I could hear a faint waterfall and peaceful classical Indian music. I have to admit I may have fallen asleep for a bit. It was just that relaxing!
At the end of the treatment, she had prepared a steam treatment in the shower. It is a perfect way to end a massage. I then took a nice hot shower and was provided all the necessary toiletries. I joined my friends in the reception area and could tell from their glow that they too had amazing experiences.
MissMalini & Andrea Brown had both tried the Balinese treatment with an added head massage (Champi). They said that their masseuses were also very professional and knew all the right pressure points. We sipped herbal tea and soaked in our few more minutes of peace, feeling refreshed and ready to take on Mumbai once again.
