Chase scenes are a dime-a-dozen in Bollywood pot-boilers. Almost every “action” film has numerous chhuppa-chhuppi sequences where the earnest and honorable cops play a mesmerizing game of cat-and-mouse with the villains and anti-heroes.
And Sanjay Gupta’s Shoot Out At Wadala is no different. Or is it?
Apparently, actor Anil Kapoor (who has been an actor to reckon with for almost thirty years) is all praise for director Sanjay Gupta and the way he shot for a particular scene, which he touts among his career’s finest.
Playing an infamous police inspector in the film, this particular scene involves Anil Kapoor running through the extremely slippery paths of Dhobi Ghat in a high octane chase sequence.
Says Kapoor in a media statement, “It’s an action-packed sequence which will be considered one of the best sequences of my career. If there is any scene that has been shot so well by any director, it is this one.”
