If you saw Aashiqui in the late eighties, you will remember the poster of Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal making out under a raincoat, in the rain. The poster of Aashiqui-2 is almost exactly the same and has Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor kissing under the raincoat.
And with the film releasing this weekend, theatre-goers were in for a surprise over the past few days to see two dummies placed among them on the seats, covered with a raincoat and positioned like they were making-out!
Says a source from the production house, “While promotional kiosks and outdoors are limited to mere cutouts and standee, the makers of Aashiqui 2 wanted to reinforce the magic of the original and used it as a promotional activity. Creative statues of the lead pair under a coat were placed on certain seats inside the theatre screens much to everyone’s amusement!”
Errr… wonder what those darned moral police have to say about the suggestive dummies?
