Actress Sridevi dazzled in the spotlight last evening at a special celebration held for her by Subrata Roy Sahara at the Sahara Star Hotel in Mumbai last evening. The media and hotel baron threw a huge bash to celebrate Sridevi receiving the Padma Shree award from the Government of India and as one would expect, this gala event saw some serious Bollywood presence.
Wearing a white heavily embroidered ethnic ensemble by Manish Malhotra, Sridevi came along with husband Boney Kapoor and her two daughters. Even her brothers-in-law, Anil and Sanjay Kapoor, attended the celebrations along with their wives – Suneet Kapoor and Maheep Sandhu. However, Sonam Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor were conspicuous by their absence.
Sridevi also cut a huge cake in he shape of the medallion she was awarded by the Government and she took urns giving a bite of it to guests and close friends like Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar.
