This pair sure has been creating waves lately – their upcoming film Aashiqui 2 is out tomorrow, and already their chemistry has been majorly hyped (if the raging popularity of Tum Hi Ho is anything to go by). Infact, the film generated a huge buzz so quickly that producer Bhushan Kumar immediately brought the film forward by a week, forcing everyone from the team to work extra hard to meet the new deadline. He has a good reason for it, though, he says!
Bhushan Kumar told Glamsham, “When we had such huge buzz generated within 2-3 days of the arrival of Tum Hi Ho, we knew this was something special in the making. Overnight the film became so hot that we had no choice but to pre-pone it. We felt that the film would peak rather quickly and there was no need to promote it for added number of weeks. Doing that would have in fact irritated the audience as they would have found the delay unnecessary.”
I think it is a pretty good decision – might as well cash in on all the hype while it’s present, instead of waiting an extra week. Plus, with Shootout at Wadala releasing on May 3rd now, it probably is a good idea to try and avoid a clash. What do you think?
