Before the Mumbai vs Kolkata IPL match yesterday, Farhan Akhtar appeared on Extra Innings with Ajay Jadeja, Sunil Gawaskar and Sameer Kochhar to speak about his social campaign MARD, which calls for gender equality and respect for women. Of course, he came sporting a moustache since that’s a part of MARD‘s logo. Take a look at pictures from his appearance on the show.
Farhan will also be in attendance tomorrow, April 26th, at Eden Gardens for the Kolkata vs Punjab game. This time around he’ll be in the stadium itself and will be distributing approximately 70,000 moustaches to those who come to watch the match. He’s hoping that everyone in the stadium sports the moustache to spread awareness for his campaign.
Farhan is very heavily invested in his project and has been leaving no stone unturned in his attempts to spread awareness. He has also roped in Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta, and the two will be seen in a special promotional video shot especially for the initiative.
