Sometimes, there are certain quotes you have to present without any sort of commentary at all, and this one definitely falls into this category. Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor are the guests on The Front Row with Anupama Chopra this week, and, well… we’ll let you read the conversation on your own.
Anupama Chopra: Arjun, where did you find the confidence as an overweight person to think, ‘I am going to be a Hindi film hero?’ How did you find that conviction?
Arjun Kapoor: To begin with, I didn’t. It actually started off when Salman bhai one night had a conversation with me and said, “Okay, show up tomorrow, we start working out and you are going be an actor”. Now, Salman Khan is saying you are going to be an actor, so you play along with it thinking what is the worst that can happen! I’ll lose some weight, I might find myself a girlfriend, I’ll fit into better clothes. There are only positives to gain out of it.
Anupama Chopra: How big were you?
Arjun Kapoor: I was 140 kilos.
Anil Kapoor: He was humongous. Absolutely humongous.
Arjun Kapoor: Today I am 88 kg.
Anil Kapoor: But, he is still more than me. I am 72 kg.
Arjun Kapoor: I am not the lean, mean sex machine that Anil Kapoor is. (laughs)
