most fashionable lady in Bollywood and is probably, single-handedly, an ambassador for the Indian fashion industry. Last night in Mumbai, actress and style diva, Sonam Kapoor, was on hand to launch the new Colgate Visible White toothpaste and walked the ramp for designer Manish Malhotra, who put together a special collection of red and white ensembles, for this launch.
In an exclusive and candid chat with Team MissMalini after the show, Sonam spilled the beans on family, music, Bollywood and what her fans mean to her.

What is your craziest fan experience?
I don’t have very many crazy fans. I have very sensible fans and I think I have amazing fans. Ok, yeah, there are a couple of people who are stalkerish. When I was shooting for Raanjhnaa in Banares, I had a little bit of a scary experience. But otherwise, I have the most amazing fans.
What is the loveliest thing a fan has gifted you?
I’ve had a couple of fans who have been there for me right from the very beginning and it’s just their steady encouragement and the fact that they handle my fan club on Facebook and online on the web – they are like the best PR for me – and I think that’s the sweetest gift because they believe in me so much.
If you had the chance to change any of the characters you have played, which would you change and why?
I wouldn’t change anything about any of my characters because I don’t believe in regrets and each and every character has taught me something and I’ve grown with that character. So everything has been a learning experience and it’s made me who I am today.
What is it that most brightens up your day?
My mom and my dad always make my day brighter. They make me smile. So yes, it’s definitely my parents.
What has Bollywood taught you which you didn’t know before you became an actress?
Everything! My dad always told me how tough and difficult it would be. But he never told me how much fun it would be. I’m having a great time and I love working with the people who believe in me and whom I believe in.
Twitter fan @iniminimisineyo asks: What kind of music do you like?
I love all kinds of music. Music is something I live with all the time because I can never have silence around me and I’m always listening to music to put me into any kind of mood. I love music.
Tell us about your role in Raanjhnaa…
It’s a love story about this girl called Zoya. It’s a coming of age story between these two characters who have this weird passion and crazy love between them.
What 5 things do you always carry in your bag?
Glam-shine lip-gloss, Colgate Visible White, my two phones and Michael by Michael Kors perfume.
