Tusshar Kapoor and Sonu Sood were spotted recently at the Haji Ali Dargah, where they were praying for their film Shootout at Wadala. I don’t suppose they have much to worry about, since the film has done some great business, “despite the adult tag and IPL” as trade analyst Taran Adarsh says. It has collected approximately 30.7 crores in its opening weekend, so I guess all eyes are on the coming week to see how it sustains its business. That being said, though, all is not well for this film in Punjab!

The film has been banned in Punjab due to certain remarks made about Lord Valmiki. In fact, on Sunday night a crowd gathered outside Sonu’s residence in Moga to protest the film, and also carried out protests at the Mall of Bhatinda, where the film was being screened.

Bhartiya Valmiki Dharam Samaj activists raised slogans against Sonu Sood and demanded that the film be banned. The screening on Sunday was cancelled, but whether or not the film continues to be banned is yet to be seen.
