Shah Rukh Khan‘s IPL team, Kolkata Knight Riders, plays an important match against Mumbai Indians today at the Wankhede stadium, which – yes – is the same stadium that SRK was banned from post his scuffle during last year’s IPL season. It’s a match that he may want to be there for in person, but thanks to his five-year ban, it’s not really something that would be possible. Infact, the Mumbai Cricket Association specifically wrote to the Marine Lines police station asking them not to allow SRK in. Except… now the Maharashta Congress unit has requested that SRK be allowed in!

So things are a bit murky on that front. The Maharashtra Congress unit has written to the Mumbai Cricket Association asking that they allow Shah Rukh into the stadium tonight to watch the match. So will he go or won’t he go?

Honestly, I don’t think SRK will go, even if he is allowed (which is doubtful). He has too much self-importance (ego, even) to go somewhere he’s not technically welcome. But I guess we’ll see tonight! What do you think, in the meantime?
