Here you go, Huma Qureshi fans: this is the leading lady’s first look in the upcoming film D-Day, which also stars Arjun Rampal, Rishi Kapoor, Shruti Haasan and Irrfan Khan. It’ll be good to see Huma in this film – the Gangs of Wasseypur girl is hugely talented, so I’m looking forward to seeing her play the role of Zoya Rehman in this one. Infact, we hear she insisted on doing one of the stunts herself!
Huma’s body double was required to do a car collision scene, but during rehearsals, the girl hurt herself. Huma, who had seen how the shot was done, decided she’d do it herself and drive the car through the gate. Director Nikhil Advani was hesitant about the idea, but Huma was adamant, and therefore she went ahead and did it herself!
