Esha Mohanh , 17 May 2013

From the beginning of time women have craved supple, fresh, and glowing skin. One could arguably say this is by far the most desired feature any woman could ask for. Some women believe harsh chemicals and spa peels will do the trick… babes, you’re sadly mistaken! The keys to getting that summer glow are right in your own kitchen. Say goodbye to dull, dehydrated skin, and transform yourself into a radiating goddess with these simple (and chemical-free!) home remedies.

1) Hot Water & Lemon

I want all of you to promise me you’ll trade your chai/coffee, for some hot water with lemon every morning, which will rejuvenate your skin from within. Vitamin C is VITAL for glowing skin, and it helps kill bacteria known to cause blemishes. For added results, apply the half lemon you didn’t squeeze into your water directly to your skin, and watch it magically brighten.

2) Banana & Milk

Mash up a banana, add some milk, mix them together to create a paste, and apply to your face for 20 minutes. Rinse with cold water and ta-da! Banana’s are rich in Vitamin A, B, and E, which are proven to be anti-aging wonders. Do refrain though from eating your mask… let’s just try and keep it on your face!

3) Egg Whites & Honey

Mix egg whites (sans yolk), with 2 tablespoons of honey they are fully blended. Apply to your face, and after the mask has completely dried, rinse with warm water. Egg whites tighten pores, reduce redness & acne, balance oils and brighten your skin. The honey moisturizes, helps repair damaged skin, and reduces lines & wrinkles to make you look younger.

4) Drink All Day

Don’t forget the most critical aspect of achieving glowing skin: WATER. There is no better way to get rid of all the toxins in your body, so drink up and drink responsibly ;)
