Recently, we interviewed Sonam Kapoor at the launch of Colgate Visible White and now, we bring you – exclusively, of course – the very first look of hers from the soon-to-be-released Colgate advertisement.
The red and white halter-neck dress has been designed by designer sisters, Riddhi and Siddhi Mapxencar.
Says the duo, “The dress is inspired from the 1950’s fashion styles. The colour of the dress is red and white, the obvious choice being because of the brand colours. Since Sonam has a timeless sense of fashion, choosing a flared 50’s silhouette was easy as she could carry it elegantly. The dress was especially made for the campaign and tailor made for her size. We chose silk crepe to have that added oomph to the dress.”
Add Riddhi and Siddhi, “Working with Sonam is always such a pleasure, needless to say she is our very favourite. The best thing about her is the ability to try and experiment with new looks. She is always open to something fresh, something offbeat, something not tried and tested before. Also she effortlessly carries off different shapes – right from the short fitted dresses to long ballgowns – everything just looks so perfect on her and she carries it with such an ease.”
