Issaq is a modern adaptation of Romeo and Juliet (with Prateik playing a Banarasi Romeo), and we hear that for it he had to do some major training. Not only did he undergo diction training to get his speech just right, but he also got trained in fire dancing and Parkour just so that he could do the action sequences in the film himself.
In fact, the film has a lot of sequences where Parkour is used, and since such scenes are not easy to shoot, the director wanted to ensure that Prateik fit the character perfectly. He’s apparently given his all for the film, and has done everything he could to play the perfect, in-love Banarasi boy. Guess we’ve got to wait to see if he’s the “lean mean killing machine” he claims to be.
