Ahem! What do you say when a starlet – dressed in a red racer top, cut-off denims and thigh-high leather boots in the heat of summer – promotes her film in Mumbai’s famous Red Light district of Kamathipura? Nothing much actually because you’re stunned by disbelief.
Veena Malik – yes, the same one who posed like a porn star – took to the streets of Mumbai’s most well-known Red Light area to promote Zindagi 50-50, her latest film, by making the sex workers aware about safe sex.
In a media statement Veena said, “It was a great experience to visit Kamathipura and have a word with ladies. While playing a character of a sex worker in my movie, I experienced the reality of their life and I am trying to help them by creating awareness about safe sex.”
