We love it when young Indian designers are showcased on an international platform and that’s why we’re so happy about the fact that ex Miss India, Parvathy Omanakuttan, wore a tiger-print saree by designers Riddhi & Siddhi Mapxencar at the recently concluded Cannes Film Festival.

Says the designer duo, “Parvathy attended the premiere of La Venus a la Fourrure and wore our saree for the screening. It is inspired from the tiger since we strongly believe in the ‘Save The Tiger’ cause. This saree is without any embroidery but carries a strong detailing of textures on the border. The texturing is purely hand-crafted and has intricate detailing of different colours.”
