Hate those long flights? Then American company ET3 may just have the solution for you. Using a system of friction-beating airless tubes and passenger pods, the Colorado company claims it can get you around the world in just 6 hours (with about the same G-Forces you might feel in a fast moving car). They even claim it’s cheaper to build than high speed rails of motor freeways!
Of course, the technology is still in early development phase, but the possibilities are no doubt exciting for white-knuckled frequent travelers. I personally love long flights – but I can appreciate how amazing it would be to to pop into Paris for a quick lunch or over to New York to catch a show for the evening. Indigo Deli or Katz Delicatessen? Juhu Beach or Miami Beach? I could live with that :)
