Candy Crush Saga

Alright. Is anybody else AS addicted to Candy Crush Saga as I am?! It all started with an innocent Facebook request from a friend of mine (I’m looking at you Diya Kapoor) and BAM I’m hooked. I’m playing in the car, at work, even in the line for the loo at nightclubs! It’s out of control. I don’t think I was this nuts about Angry Birds even. So if like me, you too are hooked on candy here are a few fun facts about our new favourite game 🙂

For those who haven’t yet earned their candy stripes (boy are you missing out!) Candy Crush Saga is a deliciously addictive puzzle adventure with hundreds of levels. (And the puppet in this video reminds me of Animal from the Muppets.)

As of March 2013, “Candy Crush Saga” surpassed FarmVille 2 as the most popular game on Facebook, with 45.6 million average monthly users.

Here are my 10 tips and cheats to play Candy Crush Saga…

Tip 1 – Stop playing this game or resist the urge to buy power ups!

Tip 2 – Resist the urge to unleash the power candy when you have one. Wait for more to appear because swapping power candies with each other will release more powerful effects.

Tip 3 – Completing the level in minimal moves may not always get you a higher score.

Tip 4 – Study the board and plan your moves.

Tip 5 – Play your striped candies carefully, dropping them into the horizontal or vertical level in line with out of reach places helps you clear those tiles.

Tip 6 – Matching Three Candies Is Great, But Four Or More Is Awesome.

Tip 7 – Don’t always listen to the game when it displays a potential match. It doesn’t necessarily have your best interest in mind.

Tip 8 – Combining the Color Bomb with any single color on the board will result in the destruction of all tiles containing the same color. If your objectives are scattered across the board, using this booster can bring a lot of useful moves into play

Tip 9 – When you run out of lives, do nothing. You’ll automatically gain a life every 30 minutes. (Or ask a Facebook friend you know is AS addicted as you!)

Tip 10 – Can you believe someone has video blogged a 1 to 355 level guide? Yup, you’re welcome 🙂

Oh and just one note to the makers, what’s with the super pricey and poorly populated Yeti Shop?!

PS. I was previously really into Subway Surfer but that got boring. I like that Candy Crush has the same basic rules as Bejeweled but with the whole Mario Brothers “Levels” experience and some cool as fudge candy, you? xoxo
