Suraj Pancholi, known to be dating Jiah Khan around the time of her death, has been detained for questioning by Mumbai police. This follows the release of a 6 page letter – allegedly written by Jiah to Suraj – in which she laid bare the details of a troubled relationship that had driven her to the edge. According to police, Suraj was also the last person to speak with her before she took her life on the night of June 3rd.
Police had previously questioned Suraj and his father, Aditya Pancholi, for several hours on June 4th, but this time it is being reported that Suraj may be charged with abetting her suicide. However, police are still analyzing the handwriting and contents of the letter before reaching any definite conclusions.
Meanwhile, responding to the fact that the alleged letter was not addressed to anyone specifically, Jiah’s mother Rabiya Amin Khan told the press, “The letter does not have a name, so who it is addressed to is something you can only ask Jiah. But because of the incidents in the past and what she told me, all of these things point out to Suraj Pancholi.”
