Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce – designers for the uber sexy Dolce & Gabbana label are heading to the slammer for just under 2 years on grounds of tax evasion.
The duo have been convicted of trying to escape paying taxes to the tune of 200 million Euros!
Trouble began in 2004 when the designers sold their company to the Luxembourg-based holding company Gado Srl, which made them billionaires. Italian tax authorities are accusing them of transferring funds to a shell company to avoid taxation.
The designers will absolutely appeal against the ruling, potentially on grounds of the alleged crimes exceeding the statute of limitations per Italian law.
