As far as his film character’s looks are concerned, actor Arjun Rampal has gone through a dramatic change of style for his look in D Day. While in Rock On his style was based on Axl Rose (bandana, t’shirt, jeans) in D Day, he plays the character of Rudra Pratap Singh, an ex-officer of the Indian Armed Forces MARCOS unit and R&AW agent.
But according to the story line, his character has to be dressed in the garb of a common man from Pakistan because he plays an undercover agent. And so, his wardrobe for most of the film includes simple clothes like a skull-cap, banyan, lungi and kurta pajama.
Says director Nikhil Advani, “Arjun is extremely excited about his character in the movie. This is the first undercover spy character he is playing and he wanted his character to look as authentic as possible. In fact the lungi too was an addition made by Arjun himself!”
