The ’20s trend has seen seen a revival of sorts, owing in part to the film The Great Gatsby. Everyone wants to channel their inner Daisy Buchanan, whether it’s fringed dresses, or dropped waists. About Deepa Gurnani:
It was a chance encounter with beading for the likes of Fendi and Alexander McQueen, that Deepa Gurnani decided to launch of her own label. With a degree from Central Saint Martins under her belt, she joined forces with her husband Jay Lakhani who himself; was trained as a jewellery designer from FIT.
Starting off with hairbands, her designs were quickly lapped by celebs such as Katie Holmes, Ashley Olsen and Natalie Portman, to name a few. They have now expanded into accessories and resort wear.
