Our trip to Delhi began with a mid-morning flight. Along with Huma Qureshi, we were the last ones to check in. The passengers on flight were trigger happy to see Irrfan Khan, Shruti Haasan and Huma Qureshi in business class. Almost thirty people comprising of film crew, PR & us were on our way to Delhi.
In Delhi, we were put up at the Shangri-La Eros in Connaught Place.
The day began with media rounds. Our first stop was the Hindustan Times office where Arjun Rampal, Irrfan Khan & Shruti Haasan were interviewed.
From there, we headed to the PVR Cinemas at Select City Walk, Saket. On the way though, we noticed Shruti’s car pull over, her get off and get into another car with Arjun. Intriguing, huh? A press conference was held with the cast. Of course, we watched the trailer for the gazillionth time and heard the answers to the same ol’ questions. Made me wonder if the actors were on auto pilot mode at these dos.
Ms. Huma Qureshi couldn’t make it in time for the conference but there were channel interviews after a coffee break. Arjun and Shruti were in great spirits, hugging and poking fun while Irrfan’s Man Friday Naqi was busy prepping him.
The ride from PVR to NDTV’s office was an interesting one in Shruti Haasan’s car. In the midst of traffic, squeezed in with her PR person, we managed to interview her. She, of course, couldn’t stop gushing about Arjun and how good-looking he was. There was also a lot of discussion about getting on the same flight as Arjun the next day for a Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa recording.
Reaching the NDTV office was the end of our day. We heard they went to a special screening at Ponty Chadha’s Waves farm house, Mehruli at night.
