Actress Taapsee Pannu, who is well known in the south for her Malayalam, Telegu and Tamil films, is new to Bollywood and garnered critical acclaim with her debut Hindi film, the remake of Chashme Baddoor.
This is reason enough for her to make her ramp debut as well. The young and bubbly actress was one of the show-stoppers at Moni Agarwal’s show at the India International Jewelry Week in Mumbai yesterday.
Taapsee wore a seven-stringed pearl necklace inspired by the iconic sat-lada from the 17th Century. This piece of precious jeweled art was a collector’s item and was donned by queens of that golden era. Popularised by Maharani Bhagmati, Moni Agarwal’s show saw Tapsee strutting down the ramp as the famous Maharani Bhagmati, wearing the seven-stringed pearl necklace.
We love her infectious smile and hope to see more of her on the Bollywood screen in the near future.
