I think this is the cutest story I’ve heard today, so I had to share it with you. Karan Johar was recently at a press conference for the film The Lunchbox, which he is presenting in pretty much the same manner that Kiran Rao presented Ship of Theseus. While there, he was talking about how he never had any friends just because he never wanted to share his lunch box – or eat from anyone else’s. So everyone just thought he was a snoot and stayed away from him!
The only friend he did make was Apoorva Mehta, who ended up being the CEO of Dharma Productions so many years down the line.
Here’s what KJo said:
“No one wanted to be my friend because I never shared my lunchbox. One day the principal walked in and said no one is friends with Karan Johar, who will be his friend? My CEO today put his hand up there and said he will.”
Bet those students wish they were his friends now, huh?
