Don’t put away your crop tops and maxi dresses just yet ladies…. but you may want to accept the fact that fall is around the corner and it might just be a good idea to start prepping! Here are 4 must haves that will have you looking flawless as the days shorten.

1. Bundle Up

Statement outerwear is critical. You’ll be seeing masses of oversized, box-fitted coats, kinda like your boyfriend’s jacket with maybe a feminine touch. But don’t be afraid of different fabrics or being bold with color either. Tweed, leather, (no fur, unless it’s faux!) and geometric prints are all in so mix it up and make a statement!

2. Winter White

The “do not wear white after labor day” rule does NOT apply this fall.  When the temperature starts to drop, we end up gravitating towards darker colors but this time grab a white blazer for work or trade in your leather leggings for white denim. Might wanna check the weather for rain, unless you’re going for a “wet T-shirt” look (which I don’t recommend) but other than that, enjoy wearing white in the Fall! For all you know, the rule could be reinforced once again next year so make the most of it!

3. Green With Envy

Emerald green is the color of 2013 and if you didn’t invest in it earlier, now is the time to bring that earthy goodness into your wardrobe. Fortunately, green looks good on every skin tone, therefore NO excuses as to why you can’t wear it. Whether it’s a sexy silk dress for an evening date with Prince Charming or a simple scarf to accent your black sweater and leggings when hitting the mall, this rich hue will never fail you.

4. Caught Red Handed

Next time you find yourself at the lipstick counter, grab a red one instead. Try YSL ‘Rouge Volupte’ especially if you’re going for a wow-factor. If you do rock the red, make sure to use a lip liner and a warming blush or bronzer so you don’t end up looking like Bella after she finally turned into a vampire.
