Saturday night saw Mumbai’s rock fans head to the opening of the new Hard Rock Cafe in Andheri for a hedonistic night of revelry and live music.
Like all Hard Rock Cafes around the world, there is plenty of interesting rock memorabilia hung up in glass cases on the walls. A purple scarf worn by Prince, a light blue long sleeve shirt worn by the king of Rock ‘n’ Roll Elvis Presley, a pink and grey tracksuit worn by Will.I.Am of The Black Eyed Peas, a long purple robe worn by John Lennon, and a brown leather jacket by Bob Dylan are just a few of the iconic pieces you can marvel at.
The launch also saw veteran director Subhash Ghai and veteran actor Rishi Kapoor break guitars on stage – a tradition which goes back to the inception of the cafe.
