Yep, Karan Johar recently revealed that the upcoming film under his Dharma Productions banner – Gori Tere Pyaar Mein – is actually inspired by a real life story. And surprisingly, it’s based on none other than director Punit Malhotra‘s own story. But considering the trailer we saw yesterday and Kareena Kapoor‘s character in it, we’re guessing the girl that featured in Punit’s real-life story was definitely not Sonam Kapoor? 😛 Definitely isn’t, since KJo says that lady is “married and settled with children” now.
According to Karan, Punit tried to pursue this girl and travelled across the country just to get to her. Clearly things didn’t work out between them, but we’re wondering whether his film’s characters will have a different fate. After all, Imran didn’t end up with Kareena at the end of Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, so we can only hope that the poor chap has better luck this time around.
