Temperatures are rising and the itch to hit the pool is getting stronger. Why not take a break from your busy workweek and scream “CANNONBALL” at the top of your lungs? Sparkling Watermelon Punch
Ingredients: 1 seedless watermelon (about 8 pounds), 3 cups vodka of your choice, ¾ cup fresh limejuice, 2 cups club soda
For Garnish: fresh mint, lime slices
Cut open your watermelon and scoop out the flesh. In a blender or food processor, puree the watermelon and make sure to strain it so you’re left with just watermelon juice without the chunks. Pour the juice into a jug, add the vodka, lime juice and club soda, and mix it all together. Pour in a glass over ice and garnish with fresh mint and a slice of lime. Is your mouth watering yet? Lychee Strawberry Daiquiri
Ingredients: 1 cup of ice, ½ cup lychees (peeled and pitted), ½ cup strawberries (coarsely chopped), ¾ oz limejuice, 1 tbsp sugar, 2 oz rum of your choice
Take out your blender, combine ice, lychees, strawberries, limejuice, sugar and rum and process until it’s fully blended. Pour in a cocktail glass and top the rim with half a strawberry. Look at you all fancy by the pool.
Ingredients: 2 oz Tequila of your choice, 1 oz limoncello (or triple sec but lemon flavor is better with the mango), 3 oz of fresh mango juice, 2 oz of water, squeezed juice of half a lime
Mix all ingredients together and sip on the rocks or mix in a blender with ice. For added flavor, line the rim of your glass with lime juice and dip in a bowl of salt. Cheers!
