Miss New York Nina Davuluri was crowned the newest Miss America last night. What’s historic is that she was the first Indian-American winner since the inception of the pageant in 1921. Nina is a resident of Syracuse, and wants to follow in her father’s footsteps by becoming a physician. I guess the $50,000 prize money doesn’t hurt! Davuluri performed a Bollywood dance number for the judges and answered a question on plastic surgery. Check out her crowning moment.
