As you know there’s going to be a very chic street style party happening at Olive on Tuesday. Some of the most influential stylists in the city will be attending the event along with their muses. We spoke to a few of them on their inspiration and why they decided to zero in on that particular muse.
“My muse for the night is Evelyn Sharma, the prior reason being here is my inspiration for the shoot, which is the Bombay Culture. This is more like East celebrates the West.
Celebrating an American of an Indian descent as Miss America, is definitely a cross-continent win for us as well. Likewise, the culture in Mumbai is equally embracing towards the west, whether it is the people or even the celebrities. Evelyn Sharma being an Indo-German export fits fabulously for my theme ‘East Celebrates the West”.
“Bombay street style is a theme with never ending inspirations, also this city has its ways to inspire you when you least expect it! I think to me Bombay street style would be a lot of interesting surprises which is what I’m hoping to achieve when I dress my beautiful muse.
My muse is one of the most free spirited souls I have met, also a great friend, beautiful girl with a beautiful heart and not being born and brought up in this city has embraced it so effortlessly! Also one with a great aesthetic like Jacqueline Fernandez.
So, the choice was an instant, there was no one else who came to my mind for it!”
“My muse Nirja Ghosh perfectly embodies the young working person of today’s Bombay. She is dynamic, a super multi-tasker juggling modelling, fashion blogging and working with a PR firm. She’s confident, street smart and gorgeous. Couldn’t have asked for a perfect muse!”
“Nidhi Sunil as my muse. She’s free spirited, effortless and a unique kind of beautiful. She stands out thanks to her earthy features and her soulful vibe.”
The show will be choreographed by Elizabeth Pereira.
