Even though she’s acted in My Name Is Khan and Love Breakups Zindagi, Pallavi Sharda is now a household name because of being paired opposite hottie Ranbir Kapoor in Besharam. However, her being paired opposite him seems to be something of a karmic connection.
Having been born and brought up in Australia, sources have it that Pallavi owns an entire collection of films of the iconic superstar Raj Kapoor – Ranbir’s grandfather.
Her grand parents and parents are huge Raj Kapoor fans and have over the years, collected all of his fantastic work and put together their own collection of his films.
Pallavi has seen most of the movies from the collection and absolutely loves the subtlety, the beauty and the simplicity of each character he showcased. When Ranbir was told about her family’s collection of RK films, he was suitably impressed – especially since they have lived in Australia since the 80’s.
We think it’s quite a nice coincidence that so many years later, Pallavi actually gets to star alongside Raj Kapoor’s grandson. The showman would approve!
