Atul and Gayatri Ruia‘s Asian restaurants, Li Bai and Mekong, atop the Palladium Hotel at Phoenix Mills in Mumbai is officially considered to be the highest bar and restaurant in the city, being that it is situated on the thirty-seventh floor. This hotel was until recently, The Shangri-La but the international chain suddenly pulled out of the venture.
Last night, Atul and Gayatri (who promotes the hotel) threw open the doors of this luxurious new venue to their close celebrity friends. From authors Chetan Bhagat and Nisha Jamvwal to designers Nishka Lulla and Payal Khandwala, the creme de la creme of Mumbai made their presence felt.
