Considering Comedy Nights With Kapil quickly became my favourite television show, I was upset to hear that the sets were destroyed after a terrible fire. While enough episodes were shot to carry us through this upcoming weekend, the team needed to quickly find another space so that they could shoot forthcoming episodes. It seems like they have now zeroed in on the Lonavala sets of Bigg Boss 7, and in order to explain the change of setting, they will claim that the entire family has shifted to dadi’s (played by Ali Asgar) house.
According to TOI, the script of the show is being worked to show that Kapil’s house actually was destroyed in a fire, and the entire family needed to move to dadi’s house. Meanwhile, they are planning on reconstructing the original set, and Kapil’s family will “move back” once the work is completed.
Kapil is also extremely touched at the support he received from other members of the industry. He claimed that people like Lata Mangeshkar, Shah Rukh Khan and Rohit Shetty called him to ask if he needed any help and offered to construct sets for him quickly. “The industry is like family,” said Kapil.
Here’s hoping that, despite the setback, things go smoothly from here on out and we can expect some more fantastic episodes in the coming weeks!
