Remember, ages ago, there were reports about Deepika Padukone‘s Garba song for Ram-Leela, and how she was nervous about getting it right? When we asked her about it back then, she had guardedly said, “I love dancing. I am a classical dancer, in the sense that when I was in school, I remember my mum used to send me for Bharatnatyam classes. I love dancing, so it’s fun. It’s not always easy… but it’s fun.” Well, we hear that she really did put in a lot of work to get this right, so now that the video is finally out, check it out and let us know whether her effort was worth it!
It’s been a while since we’ve gotten a Navratri song from Sanjay Leela Bhansali – his Dholi Taaro and Dola Re Dola are still fixtures during the festive season, but it looks like there’s a new one to add to the list this year. I think Deepika kills it in this song – not only does she look gorgeous (what’s new?), but she dances extremely well, and you can see that she’s put in a lot of work.
Also, can we discuss how Supriya Pathak isn’t even the main feature of the song, and she still manages to make such a huge impression?!
