We all know diamonds are a girl’s best friend, but sapphires, rubies and emeralds make just as good besties. And this is something Amrapali has known for a decade now. For ten years, this Jaipur based jeweler has been the Indian face of jewellery to the word. Selling at London’s Harrods and Selfridges, their baubles have been worn by Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lopez, Halle Berry as well as Vidya Balan, Sonam Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit.

To celebrate this decade of decadence, Amrapali’s Tarang and Akanksha Arora held a retrospective at the Delhi’s Lodhi Hotel. There was jadau, art-deco and Victorian fine jewellery, silver and semi precious pieces, as well silver artifacts and pichwais.

A true visual feast for the eyes—it reminded us that when it comes to adornment, no-one does it better than India. What was even better was there was something for nearly every pockets size — starting from a few thousands of rupees going to about several crores! But then, that is the beauty of a “Made in India” luxury brand.
