When summer comes to an end in New York, the city’s most fashionable women have one last big event to strut their street style, before it starts getting cold out. At this year’s New York Fashion Week, the DRESS FOR THE DAY team scouted out the best New York street style trends from outside the Lincoln Center venue. From industry icons, to bloggers, fashion students, designers and all their VIP guests, here are this season’s must-have looks, fresh off New York City’s sidewalks!

Black and White:

Fashion’s most classic color pairing is the epitome of chic. Try pops of colour and mixing accessories to create unique looks you can own. Here are a few of our favorite black & white street styles from NYFW.

Statement Sunnies:

Statement shades are still all the rage. With all the variety we saw outside of fashion week, the printed, embellished, and shaped sunnies stood out most. Here’s three of our favorite looks, where the shades made the outfit!

BOLD PRINTS:

It’s true, New Yorkers often find themselves stuck in a color routine of black, navy, or grey, so we’ve been thrilled to see trends pushing more neons and colorful patterns! Playing with prints can be tricky, but these New Yorkers struck the perfect balance, without looking OTT.
