Soon after it was announced that Sushant Singh Rajput left Fitoor, rumours began circulating that Aditya Roy Kapur had been signed on instead. There was no confirmation from the film’s team back then, but now it’s official: the Aashiqui 2 actor has indeed been brought on for the film, and director Abhishek Kapoor has given a statement saying that he’s happy to have the actor on board.
Abhishek Kapoor told TOI:
As a filmmaker I have always invested in new and emerging talent and Aditya Roy Kapur is right up there among the new names. I am delighted to have him on board.”
Of course, now we have to ask – do you think Aditya Roy Kapur and Katrina Kaif would make a good pair? I know it’s an unexpected one, but I could see it working out, actually!
