Although Japanese food enjoys widespread popularity across the world, most Indian diners have yet to fully experience the country’s culinary offerings. Looking to reverse this, Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, along with its Ministry of Foreign Affairs recently launched Japanese Food Season ~ Oishii Japan in India. The three week food festival aims to spread awareness of Japanese food in India, and will feature a series of cooking workshops as well as special restaurant and retail promotions in Delhi and Mumbai.
The highlight of this festival is sure to be the special 3 course menus on offer at select Japanese restaurants, ranging in price from Rs. 1000-3500. The participating restaurants include:
Mumbai: Sanqi, India Jones, Kofuku, Umame, Aoi, Sushi and More
Delhi: Megu, Izakaya, Guppy by AI, Sakae Sushi, Asia 7
The food festival and special menus will be on offer through November 10, 2013.
