I am a normad at heart. I haven’t been everywhere but it is on my list. Life is manic in the big city which is a great excuse to run off into the wild.
River Rafting, sky diving, trekking, I would trade it anytime for the floodlights in musty studios, but then someone has to make a living. Getting away from the humdrum routine of life is my secret mantra to happiness. I just pack my bags and getaway.
My favourite travel companion is my Gucci tote of course. What would I do without it? The inside story of my handbag is something I am quite possessive about. No girl in her right mind would want anyone to go through her handbag. There is no denying that we are what we carry.
I have been asked if the inside of my bag is as savvy as the outside. I’ll let you go through my handbag and let you decide that. Some of the travel essentials I carry with me where ever I go, be it Alaska or the Andes.
My Venus
My secret weapon for all beauty emergencies. A girl and her razor should never be parted. Here’s a secret. Ever since I tried Gillette Venus for the first time, I couldn’t believe how simple hair removal could be while giving me smooth results. Whether I’m on a beach holiday or hiking in the rain forest of Puerto Rico, I want to have smooth, gorgeous legs because it makes me feel feminine and beautiful. It is so easy to carry. To tell you the truth, it lives in my handbag and travels with me where ever I go.
Blocking it
Regardless of the destination being a sub-zero temperature region or a sunny island in the Bahamas, I make sure that I’m always pack my sunscreen in my travel case. The ozone layer is slowly depleting and so it’s essential to shield your skin from the harmful UV rays of the sun. It’s an absolute must in my travel bag.
Creaming it
To save my skin from dehydration I always carry a good moisturiser with me. It ensures that my skin stays soft and radiant even with external climate changes. I love using Organic moisturisers because it keeps my skin smooth and beautiful regardless of the season or destination.
Eye Spy
I don’t do jewellery when I’m on holiday but I do carry a pair of Ray- Bans and a headscarf for the day. My make-up pouch is dominated by a red lipstick, an eye liner, mascara and a blush for after dark, hedonist nights.
My iPod, iPad and iPhone go wherever I go though I try to use them minimally. I wouldn’t want it to drive me to distraction about all the things I wanted to get away from in the first place.
