Ann Mitchai is a popular singer from Thailand who has grown up on a healthy dose of Bollywood films and is a self-confessed fan of Sridevi and Madhuri Dixit.
Ann recently made her Bollywood debut in Ishq Actually opposite Rajeev Khandelwal. She also sang two songs for the film.

Team MissMalini: How did you debut in a Bollywood film?
Ann Matchai: There are many practical reasons for making my debut in Bollywood. First of all, Bollywood is considered the largest center of film production in the world. More importantly, I love Indian art and many Bollywood stars who I idolize.
I also came to Bollywood to sell my international music albums in India, apart from Thailand.
Team MM: What difficulties did you face in while acting in Ishq Actually?
AM: I needed to speak in Hindi and even sing two songs in Hindi, which were my biggest challenges.
Team MM: Which Bollywood stars inspire you?
AM: Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit. In fact, Madhuri is my idol. When I was growing up, I wanted to be like her. I wanted to dance like her and act in Bollywood movies.
Team MM: Which are your favourite Bollywood films?
AM: I’m sorry. I can’t remember all the names. But Khuda Gawah and yes... Devdas. It is very popular in Thailand. I have often performed Dola Re Dola. The song is very popular in Thailand and many people know it.
